Welcome to 824pct Jobs Magazine. This blog was originally created when unemployment in America reached 8.1%. As most everyone knows, it is far higher than that today. With millions of Americans unemployed, I felt something needed to be done to create a simpler and faster way of connecting employers with the unemployed. I feel there has to be a better way than the decades old system that is in place today.
I also feel that there is a skills gap in America today. Americans are told to go to school for 16 to 22 yrs to have a better career. Yet, there are millions of unemployed well-educated workers. The problem is, we are not being schooled for the job needs in this country. The Dept. of Labor and the Dept. of Education are so far apart on their goals that they may as well be in Europe.
