AboutUs is requesting applicants for the role of Systems Administrator. As a member of the development department, the Systems Administrator will report to the CTO and will work closely with the Software Developers and Community Development groups. We are looking for a candidate who will be adept in the technologies below and who can also communicate seamlessly while balancing the needs of multiple customers. You will be responsible for keeping our growing infrastructure of Linux servers up and running 24/7. Candidates should be able to quickly diagnose problems and implement creative solutions. You must bring professionalism, a can-do attitude and expertise, and be willing to do what is necessary to get the job done!

Must Have
- Has managed high availability production sites.
- Extensive experience administering Linux servers in a production environment.
- Perform production network design, planning, implementation, and maintenance activities.
- Available for 24×7 on call duties for production datacenter systems.
- Knowledge of Production Web infrastructure (eg. Apache, NGINX, Memcached, Rails)
- Knowledge of production storage technologies (LVM, RAID)
- Set up, test and execute data backup and restores.
- Excellent trouble shooting skills
- Self-directed and follow-through
- Highly motivated and tenacious
- Stellar communication skills
